Welcome to the America 250 NC commemoration! As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, we are excited to invite partners to join us in commemorating this historic milestone.

America 250 NC Blog Submission Guidelines:
- Length: Submissions are ideally between 500 and 1,000 words with a maximum length of 1,500 words.
- Format: All submissions must be clearly readable and in a non-pdf format. Submissions via Microsoft Word documents or in the body of an email are preferred.
- Copyright: Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any third parties. If the submission is found to be violative of any of the rights of the other party, the author(s) shall be solely responsible for such violation.
- Relevance: Submissions pertain to a historical event related to an America 250 NC theme or to an upcoming event or commemoration.
- Timeframe: Submissions are sent in at least three weeks prior to a desired posting date
- Citation: If submissions contain a significant amount of historical content, then citations should be included for that content. Citations should be included as footnotes or in a works cited page. All images should be cited.
- Review: All submissions will be reviewed by the America 250 NC team for historical accuracy, style, and coherence to America 250 NC themes. Edits may be given to blog authors based on these parameters.
